Pawandeep OzaandAnup Patel 759910326c lib: utils/irqchip/aplic: add MSI mode support with IMSIC parent linking
Add parent_unique_id fields to struct aplic_data for
IMSIC parent linking in MSI mode. Store parent IMSIC unique_id
during FDT parsing of the APLIC node.

Add aplic_is_msi_mode() complementing aplic_is_direct_mode() to
consolidate delivery mode detection. Add APLIC_TARGET_EIID() macro
for packing the EIID field into the TARGET register.

Add parent_unique_id and parent_irq_map fields to struct aplic_data.
parent_unique_id identifies the upstream IMSIC irqchip device resolved
via sbi_irqchip_find_device() during hwirq_setup. parent_irq_map is
a per-source array allocated at cold init time to track the EIID
assigned by the IMSIC for each APLIC source.

Restore aplic_writel_msicfg() and re-introduce MSI address register
programming in aplic_init(), gated on aplic_is_msi_mode(). Set the
DOMAINCFG_DM bit to switch the hardware to MSI delivery mode when
no IDC structures are present.

Add aplic_program_msi_target() to pack hart_index, guest_index, and
EIID into the APLIC_TARGET register. Add aplic_write_msi() as the
sbi_irqchip write_msi callback that extracts EIID and hart_index from
the MSI message and calls aplic_program_msi_target(). Add
aplic_msi_callback() as the MSI receive callback that dispatches to
sbi_irqchip_process_hwirq() on the APLIC chip.

Extend aplic_hwirq_setup() with an MSI path that resolves the parent
IMSIC chip by parent_unique_id, registers an MSI route via
sbi_irqchip_register_msi(), and stores the allocated EIID in
parent_irq_map for the source being configured.

Extend aplic_hwirq_set_affinity() with an MSI path that delegates
affinity reprogramming to the parent IMSIC chip via
sbi_irqchip_set_affinity() using the stored parent_irq_map entry.

Guard warm_init, process_hwirqs, and hwirq_eoi with early returns in
MSI mode as interrupt delivery and acknowledgement are handled by the
IMSIC in that configuration.

Pawandeep OzaandAnup Patel 5ee0559445 lib: utils/irqchip/aplic: implement direct mode irqchip callbacks
Add inline register accessors (aplic_sourcecfg_write/read,
aplic_target_write, aplic_irq_setie/clrie/clrip, aplic_idc_base/
read/write) to consolidate all MMIO access behind typed helpers
and eliminate open-coded address arithmetic throughout the driver.

Add field-packing macros APLIC_TARGET_HART_IDX, APLIC_TARGET_IPRIO,
and APLIC_TARGET_GUEST_IDX for constructing
APLIC_TARGET register values.

Add aplic_is_direct_mode() mode helper, aplic_hwirq_flags_to_sourcecfg()
to map generic hwirq flags to APLIC source modes, aplic_hwirq_is_delegated()
to detect S-mode delegated sources, aplic_find_idc_index() to map a
hart index to its IDC slot, and aplic_first_target_hart() to select
the first available IDC hart for initial interrupt targeting.

Implement the full sbi_irqchip callback set for direct (IDC) mode:
- warm_init: enables IDC interrupt delivery and threshold per hart
- process_hwirqs: reads TOPI and dispatches via sbi_irqchip_process_hwirq,
  skipping delegated sources
- hwirq_setup: programs sourcecfg from hwirq_flags and sets the TARGET
  register to the first available IDC hart
- hwirq_cleanup: clears IE, IP, sourcecfg, and TARGET on teardown
- hwirq_eoi: reads CLAIMI to acknowledge the interrupt on the IDC
- hwirq_set_affinity: reprograms TARGET to the specified hart index
- hwirq_mask/unmask: clears/sets IE via CLRIENUM/SETIENUM

Register the irqchip device and populate target_harts from idc_map
only when targets_mmode is set in aplic_cold_irqchip_init().

a subset of harts and there are multiple irqchip devices to cover
all harts.

To support this scenario:

   represents the set of harts targetted by the irqchip device
2) Call warm_init() and process_hwirqs() callbacks of an irqchip
   device on a hart only if irqchip device targets that particular
   hart

The section 4.5.4 "Supervisor MSI address configuration (smsiaddrcfg
and smsiaddrcfgh)" of the AIA specification states that:

"If register mmsiaddrcfgh of the domain has bit L set to one, then
smsiaddrcfg and smsiaddrcfgh are locked as read-only alongside
mmsiaddrcfg and mmsiaddrcfgh."

In other words, the L bit is not defined for smsiaddrcfg[h] registers
so fix aplic_writel_msicfg() accordingly.

Anup PatelandAnup Patel ee92afa638 lib: sbi: Introduce IPI device rating
A platform can have multiple IPI devices (such as ACLINT MSWI,
AIA IMSIC, etc). Currently, OpenSBI rely on platform calling
the sbi_ipi_set_device() function in correct order and prefer
the first avaiable IPI device which is fragile.

Instead of the above, introduce IPI device rating and prefer
the highest rated IPI device. This further allows extending
the sbi_ipi_raw_clear() to clear all available IPI devices.

Alex StuderandAnup Patel 6019259dfb lib: utils/irqchip: Match against more specific compatible strings first
The T-HEAD C90x PLIC has some special quirks, such as the S-mode
delegation bit. OpenSBI currently handles this by checking the compatible
string in the device tree.

However, this matching is done in the order of the fdt_match array. So if
a device tree contains both strings, for example:

	compatible = "thead,c900-plic", "riscv,plic0";

Then OpenSBI will match against the generic "riscv,plic0" string, since
that appears first in the fdt_match array. This means it will fail to set
the S-mode delegation bit, and Linux will fail to boot. In some cases, it
is not possible to change the compatible string to just the T-HEAD PLIC,
as older versions of Linux only recognize the RISC-V compatible string.

This patch fixes that by moving the RISC-V string to the end, ensuring
that the more specific options get matched first.

Currently, the same irqchip instance is registered for multiple PLIC
and APLIC instances which causes the sbi_list_for_each_entry() loop

each PLIC and APLIC instance.

This allows the compiler to generate significantly better code, because
it does not have to maintain either the loop counter or loop limit. Plus
there are half as many symbols to relocate. This also simplifies passing
carray arrays to helper functions.

Samuel HollandandAnup Patel 2dd6eaf680 lib: sbi_irqchip: Call driver warm_init from SBI core
Currently, each platform keeps track of which irqchip driver is in use
and calls its warm init function. Since the generic platform may use
multiple irqchip drivers, it has logic to track an array of drivers.

The code is simplified and made common across platforms by treating warm
init and exit as properties of the driver, not the platform. Then the
platform's only role is to select and prepare a driver during cold boot.

For now, only add a .warm_init hook, since none of the existing drivers
need an .exit hook. It could be added in the future if needed.

Samuel HollandandAnup Patel e3e5686ef9 lib: sbi_irqchip: Register devices during cold init
Have the SBI irqchip core keep track of registered irqchip devices. This
is useful for any callbacks the irqchip driver may have, such as for
warm initialization, the external interrupt handler function, and any
future support for handling external interrupts (beyond IPIs) in M-mode.

This improves on the tracking done in fdt_irqchip.c, as it tracks device
instances, not just drivers, so callbacks can target a specific device.

Move the PLIC save/restore functions inside the driver, so they can be
reused on any platform that needs them. The memory needed to store the
PLIC context is also allocated by the driver. The PM data cannot be
completely encapsulated, as some platforms (including Allwinner D1) need
to program the IRQ enable status to a sideband interrupt controller for
wakeup capability.

Unlike other platforms, Ariane and OpenPiton enable all IRQs by default.
This was described in commit b44e844880 ("Add support for Ariane FPGA
SoC") as "due to some issue of the design." Add this workaround behind a
flag in plic_warm_irqchip_init(), so every platform can use the same
warm init function.

We would like to clean any files generated by the carray
scripts by just searching for the filename as the current
make system turns f.carray into f.o. Change to make the
make system turn f.carray into f.carray.o

note, command to go through .mk files changing the .o
in the .mk files is:
find . -type f -name "*.carray" | xargs -t -I fname /bin/bash -x -c ' fn=`basename -s .carray fname`; echo "$fn"; sed -i `dirname fname `/objects.mk -e s/"$fn".o/"$fn".carray.o/g'

The current mlevel imsic check is only for the platform, which
may cause hart without imsic in the platform to trigger an
illegal instruction exception when initializing imsic. For
example, the platform contains a management hart that only
supports wired interrupts.

This patch will check if each hart supports Smaia extension
before doing imsic initialization to avoid triggering illegal
instruction exceptions.

On platforms with Smepmp, the MMIO regions accessed by M-mode need
to be explicitly marked with M-mode only read/write or shared (both
(M-mode and S-mode) read/write permission.

If the above is not done then runtime PLIC access from M-mode on
platforms with Smepmp will result in access fault when further
results in CPU hotplug not working.

Currently, we have a smp_wmb() between atomic_raw_set_bit() and
ipi_send() device callback whereas the MMIO writes done by the
device ipi_send() callback will also include a barrier.

We can avoid unnecessary/redundant barriers described above by
allowing relaxed MMIO writes in device ipi_send() callback. To
achieve this, we simply use  wmb() instead of smp_wmb() before
calling device ipi_send().
